Feb 15, 2003 Vancouver Canucks Darren Langdon
2pd 01:03 Calgary Flames Steve Montador
Comments: They clashed in front of the net and Langdon quickly started throwing them. Montador started off burying his head as he was caught a bit off guard. Langdon teed off on him pretty good. Montador comes back with a couple surprising lefts. He showed some good fight. There was a 10-second section of the fight where the exchanges were pretty even, but then Langdon cleaned him pretty good in the end just like at the beginning.

Feb 15, 2003 Minnesota Wild Brad Brown
2pd 14:29 Colorado Avalanche Scott Parker
Comments: Colorado goes up 3-0 and Brad Brown looks to get his team going by locking up with Scott Parker. It almost looked like they wouldn't get going, both tucked in tight, but then they opened up. Brad was looking for an open punch while Parker went to work on the body alternating between rights, lefts and body blows. Brad tried switching up late, but didn't do much there either.
Voted winner: Scott Parker (66.7%) - Voted rating: 6.7

Feb 15, 2003 Phoenix Coyotes Todd Simpson
1pd 13:34 St. Louis Blues Reed Low
Comments: As the play moves up ice, Low skates into the Phoenix end along the near boards and says something to Simpson. Simpson drops the gloves a second before Low, and they are in close and both latch onto each other. Lows looks like he has room to swing the right, and he gets in an uppercut that connects, but Simpson was turning his head, so he may not have caught all of it. Low lands a right to the helmet and then rips the helmet half off. Next right from Low knocks Simpson's helmet off without appearing to do any damage. Then Low connects with a good right to Simpson's Jaw, and at this point Simpson is just hanging on. Simpson gets in tight and Low throws 3 more rights to the back of Simpson's head or neck. Low then switches to the left and hits Simpson in the side of the head. One left uppercut from Low misses, the next lands, or appears to as Simpson's head snaps away. Still nothing from Simpson. One more Low left to the head and 3-4 more that hit chest or jersey. As the linesmen come in and tie up Low, Simpson throws a couple of push-rights that do nothing. Other Penalties: Low received an instigator and misconduct.

Feb 15, 2003 Pittsburgh Penguins Steve McKenna
1pd 09:13 New Jersey Devils Jim McKenzie
Comments: McKenzie wanted McKenna right off the faceoff, right after the pens went up 2-0. They were both throwing, but then Steve's right arm got tied up in his jersey and his elbow pad was down around his wrist so he couldn't throw. McKenzie just teed off on him with lefts from there and McKenna had to bail.

Feb 15, 2003 Washington Capitals Mike Grier
2pd 11:38 Florida Panthers Brad Ference
Comments: Ference had stirred things up with Henry earlier in the second. He goes after Grier along the boards in the Caps end and lays a check on Grier who takes exception and asks Brad to drop'em and here we go. Grier gets a good hold of Brad and starts throwing 10-15 to the back of Ference's head (with no helmet). Ference eventually tries to throw and punch and a few come off, but not much and in come the linesmen.

Feb 15, 2003 Ottawa Senators Chris Neil
1pd 19:59 Toronto Maple Leafs Tie Domi
Comments: The period's over, literally one second left, and Neil takes a healthy run at Domi. Domi takes exception, turns to Neil, has a few words, then drops the gloves and tags him with a left. Neil gets his own mitts off a split-second late and takes some lefts. Domi lifted the front of Neil's jersey over his face. With the jersey up, Tie landed a few more shots with the left.

Feb 15, 2003 Chicago Blackhawks Steve McCarthy
2pd 13:22 Columbus Blue Jackets Sean Pronger
Comments: A scrum developed on the other end of the ice during the Odelein-Shelley fight with Sean Pronger tied up with Steve McCarthy and Pronger was cocked and ready the whole time. Finally they get going and it's just a few punches before both guys go off balance and fall down. Pronger landed a bomb just before falling. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts.

Feb 15, 2003 Chicago Blackhawks Lyle Odelein
2pd 13:22 Columbus Blue Jackets Jody Shelley
Comments: Fleury slashes Shelley and somehow Odelein ends up hopping in. Decent slow paced scrap. Both with the usual hits and misses. Looked like Shelley had a couple of more late punches and the push/knockdown. Other Penalties: David Ling received a roughing; Odelein an instigator and misconduct.

Feb 15, 2003 Chicago Blackhawks Chris Simon
1pd 02:42 Columbus Blue Jackets Jamie Allison
Comments: Allison starts off with a few, but doesn't connect. Simon returns, but misses as well. This goes on for a few rounds with each missing or landed minor punches until Simon get a few lefts in knocking Allison off balance and to the ice.

Feb 15, 2003 Detroit Red Wings Sean Avery
3pd 14:18 Atlanta Thrashers Dan Snyder
Comments: Snyder had leveled Boyd Devereaux with a hit earlier, so Avery plays enforcer and looks for payback late in the third. They drop 'em and Avery tosses some early rights and takes control while Snyder lands a good shot late. Avery then gets the takedown.

Feb 15, 2003 New York Islanders Dave Scatchard
2pd 04:52 Los Angeles Kings Ian Laperriere
Comments: These two squareoff after the game becomes chippy. Scatchard starts firing away. Ian is caught in an awkward position and falls to the ice with Scatchard on top of him.

Feb 15, 2003 New York Islanders Jason Wiemer
1pd 09:59 Los Angeles Kings Kip Brennan
Comments: Wiemer leveled Palffy, was called for interference, and the Kings score on the power-play resulting from it. On the faceoff after that goal, the two drop the gloves. Wiemer gets position, wraps his left hand around Brennan's right arm locking him out. Wiemer fires and connects on a couple of short rights. Brennan breaks loose and lands a few rights of his own. During the exchange Wiemer lands a powerful right. Both players fall to the ice with Brennan firing after landing on top. While skating away Brennan has some blood drops on his jersey.

Feb 14, 2003 Phoenix Coyotes Brad May
1pd 04:20 Minnesota Wild Brad Brown
Comments: Good toe-to-toe action, both guys getting the rights loose. Seems like Brown is getting the better of the exchange though, May hits the deck and Brown is still swinging. Linesmen jump in.

Feb 13, 2003 Calgary Flames Steve Montador
2pd 14:24 Los Angeles Kings Ian Laperriere
Comments: They were pretty tied up at center ice. Montador threw some quick lefts at the beginning. None of them really landed. Then Laperriere started to throw rights, maybe one of them landing. Montador went down to his knees for a second and so did Lapparrieree. Then the linesmen came in. Other Penalties: Montador received a game misconduct.
