Mar 16, 2002 New York Rangers Matt Barnaby
1pd 01:35 New Jersey Devils Ken Daneyko
After the Devils score a goal, Barnaby is just looking for someone to fight. Daneyko then drops them. That is the most exciting part. They square off for what seems like an eternity, Daneyko throws about one punch and then they both topple.

Mar 15, 2002 Buffalo Sabres Taylor Pyatt
2pd 12:23 Florida Panthers Jason Wiemer
It started in the Panther zone, along the boards. They both dropped em, no square-off, with Wiemer lunging in right away. Then they both exchange a few punches with nothing landing. Wiemer then takes control, basically picking punches. After throwing 3 quick shots to the neck/chin area, Weimer throws 2 solid shots, landing on one. They grappled and attempted to keep going, but as they came along the boards the refs came in. Other Penalties: Wiemer received a high-sticking.

Mar 14, 2002 Colorado Avalanche Scott Parker
1pd 15:30 Atlanta Thrashers Andy Sutton
The courting was longer than the mating. After sizing each other up for what seemed like hours Sutton lands the first punch. Parker responds with 3 of his own. Sutton slips/dives to the ground.

Mar 14, 2002 Vancouver Canucks Murray Baron
2pd 13:43 Columbus Blue Jackets Jody Shelley
Started after Vancouver's 5th goal. Both guys agree to go mutually after some egging on by Shelley. Off come the gloves and both men grab on. Shelley with the right drawn back. Shelley fires a heavy right that just misses Baron's face. Jody returns another right that catches the helmet. Repeat last sentence. Another right lands to Baron's neck. Jody tries again with the right, but Baron has his arm locked out now. It is obvious that Baron is out of Shelley's league. Jody tries a right uppercut, but it don't have the distance. Baron's helmet is down over his eyes. Murray fires a right that misses which allows Shelley to throw a right that also misses. Off balance a bit, Shelley throws a wild right which lands on Baron's back. Grabbing. Another right uppercut from Shelley may have grazed Baron. A straight right from Shelley is blocked. Baron comes back with a right that falls short. Shelley throws another right that is blocked. The next right is heavy duty and Baron blocks it with his head. He topples to the ice like a toy. Not a TKO or KO. Just a heavy shot that muscled him down. Jody lands another right to the ribs on the way down. It's over now. Other Penalties: Shelley received a misconduct.

Mar 13, 2002 St. Louis Blues Dallas Drake
2pd 14:21 San Jose Sharks Gary Suter
Drake and Suter chase a puck that goes behind the Shark's net. Drake is more interested in landing a big hit on Suter than gaining control of the puck however and both men go down. Suter sits on Drake for a while until the back of the net clears a little, then both men get up. Drake takes a shot at Suter who fires a harder one back. Drake gets pissed and drops his gloves, and they go. Suter looked to have gotten 2, maybe 3 shots in while Drake layed in 3 or 4 shots, none that looked solid. Suter threw a punch that made him lose his footing and he went down, dragging Drake down with him as he fell. Afterwards Drake appeared to be bleeding. Other Penalties: Suter received a roughing and double high-sticking; Drake a roughing.

Mar 13, 2002 Calgary Flames Toni Lydman
2pd 16:34 Florida Panthers Marcus Nilson
Nilson and Lydman get tangled in the corner and go down with Lydman on top. While on top he gives a jap to the face of Marcus and then uses his face to get up off the ice. A pissed off Marcus gets up and goes right after Lydman. They drop them and Marcus trys a couple rights that seem to miss. Lydman wearing the sheild really does nothing but hold on, and then its over.

Mar 13, 2002 Edmonton Oilers Scott Ferguson
3pd 02:45 Detroit Red Wings Sean Avery
Started as a battle for the puck along the boards behind the Oilers' net. Ferguson was all over Avery. Avery turned to face Ferguson and they looked ready to go. But they didn't just yet. They skated around the net and Avery dropped his gloves and started first. Ferguson dropped his right away and the fight was on. Avery started with some good rights, maybe 5, but it was hard to see if they landed or not because the linesman got in the way of the camera. Ferguson tried to tie up the right, but that wasn't working, so he decided to throw some left hand shots. The first two landed rather stiff, as they made Avery stop punching and duck his head. Ferguson followed those two punches up with about 4 more lefts but they didn't land too well. Avery came back with some more rights that didn't seem to connect, then Avery pulled off a pretty good move, ducking under Ferguson's left arm and coming out the other side, leaving the back of Ferguson's head wide open. Avery couldn't capitalize on this as Ferguson went down.

Mar 12, 2002 Chicago Blackhawks Aaron Downey
1pd 14:56 Phoenix Coyotes Andrei Nazarov
A long squareoff. Nazarov starts off throwing a right that gets blocked by Downey, who was also throwing a punch. Surprisingly Naz didn't start hugging, he grabbed Downey with his right and started throwing several lefts (about 4-5) that were actually connecting. Downey finally gets his left loose and drills Naz with a left. Naz immediately goes down to the ice. Downey continued throwing lefts (none landing). As Nazarov tries to get up, Downey changes hands quickly and starts throwing several rights (also none connecting). The linesmen jump in right away, while Downey continues throwing punch after punch. He actually hit the linesman a couple times.

Mar 12, 2002 Vancouver Canucks Brent Sopel

This was a quick little exchange with Hartnell throwing fast and hard straight rights; and Sopel throwing over hand rights. Hartnell got the better punches in.
