Nov 24, 2001 Edmonton Oilers Ethan Moreau
1pd 07:05 Colorado Avalanche Rick Berry
They square off at center and come together. Berry throws and misses. Then lands one good right that puts an off balance Moreau down. Berry throws a couple of more not sure if they connected. Moreau did throw a couple of punches but missed.

Nov 24, 2001 Phoenix Coyotes Brad May
1pd 10:15 St. Louis Blues Bryce Salvador
Bryce Salvador and Brad May go at center ice with Salvador going after May. May drills Salvador with a big time right square on its target. Then they grab, wrestle a bit, trade a few more punches (that appeared clean). Salvador loses his balance and goes down on the ice with May on top. Salvador was cut pretty good by Mays right, the towel was full of blood while in the box. These two had a good fight last season.

Nov 24, 2001 San Jose Sharks Mark Smith
2pd 03:19 Los Angeles Kings Ian Laperriere
Smith and Lapperierre go in a spirited but short bout with each man throwning wildly. Smith grazes Lappy with a couple of punches then Lappy controls the later half of the fight with a punch or two that may have caught Smith. In the box, they are yelling at each other.

Nov 24, 2001 Anaheim Ducks Kevin Sawyer
1pd 02:55 New York Islanders Steve Webb
It's early in the game and Webb is lined up against Sawyer. They look like they're itching, although they don't go right away so I wasn't sure. Sawyer does go over to Cairns who is kinda blah about it. But - he doesn't even have time to consider because Webb comes in. They drop the gloves and Webb just takes Sawyer's sweater and lifts it above his head. Now it's sparring time. He throws a bunch of lefts, then switches to his right, only gets off a couple. Sawyer starts to throw wildly and looks like he's swimming. Linesmen come in to save Sawyer. With Paul Stewart as one of the 20 black and white shirts out there, I was disappointed to see an instigator called, it really wasn't that bad. Other Penalties: Webb received an instigator and misconduct.

Nov 24, 2001 Atlanta Thrashers Chris Tamer
3pd 16:52 Ottawa Senators Chris Neil
Not a lot happened. Neil grabbed Tamer behind the net. Neil dropped his gloves and threw a couple of quick ones. One to the helmet, the other off the shoulder pads. After that just a little grabbin' and dancin'.

Nov 23, 2001 Pittsburgh Penguins Billy Tibbetts
3pd 05:09 Nashville Predators Tom Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald runs Michal Rozsival and gets the elbow up, Tibbets right away drops the gloves and grabs Fitxgearld and they fall. That's it. 5 for fighting and they even threw in the instigator for Tibbets. Perhaps they were thinking of fighting and the refs knew. Mysterious majors strike again.

Nov 23, 2001 Pittsburgh Penguins Krzysztof Oliwa
1pd 03:14 Nashville Predators Stu Grimson
Oliwa controlled the first half of the fight, and Grimson had the edge in the second half. Oliwa's first few punches landed, one which looked like it sent Grimson down. He then got right back up and started throwing. Looked like he landed one good punch. Oliwa might have thrown a few more then Grimson threw overall.

Nov 23, 2001 New York Rangers David Karpa
3pd 20:00 Washington Capitals Matt Pettinger
Pettinger finished a check on Karpa with 3 seconds left. Karpa went after Pettinger and soon everybody on the ice was there. Mccarthy turned around and grabbed Klee (Simon was on the ice). Pettinger started beating down Karpa. McCarthy started toward center ice but was met by Kolzig who took a swing at McCarthy, but it did not look like it landed. Other Penalties: Sandy McCarthy received a roughing and game misconduct; Pettinger a roughing and misconduct; Karpa a roughing, cross checking, instigator and misconduct.

Nov 23, 2001 New York Rangers Eric Lindros
3pd 15:24 Washington Capitals Trent Whitfield
While the Malakhov-Sacco fight is going on, Lindros and Whitfield are paired off. Whitfield buries his head while Lindros starts throwing. Looked like that fight all over again. Kolzing came and pulled Lindros off. Blackburn came over, but nothing else happened. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts; Olaf Kolzig and Dan Blackburn both received leaving the crease penalties.

Big check thrown on Theo Fleury, Fleury sucker punches Brendan Witt (who threw the check). Brawl erupts. Malakhov takes Sacco and starts throwing. Sacco's bent over and Malakhov throws about 5 or 6 rights. Other Penalties: Theo Fleury received a double roughing minor; Malakhov an instigator and misconduct.

Nov 23, 2001 Vancouver Canucks Denis Pederson
1pd 03:37 Boston Bruins Bill Guerin
They were in real tight, with each tying up the other really well, then they go loose. Both threw some major league bombs, with nothing much connecting, maybe two a piece, but not hard.

Nov 22, 2001 Los Angeles Kings Jere Karalahti
2pd 10:51 Edmonton Oilers Steve Staios
Jere Kahrlati takes a run at Todd Marchant, and Steve Staios takes exception and off come the gloves. Both were in tight, and both had the other guy tied up pretty well so little to no punches were landed.
