Sep 23, 2001 Philadelphia Flyers Francis Lessard
2pd 16:03 New York Rangers Richard Scott
This is the second time in the game these two fought. Lessard and Scott sure know how to entertain the fans. These two went toe to toe exchanging some pretty good blows (many on each side). Scott switched hands at one point. It looked pretty even. Maybe Scott landed one or two better ones, but the high count on each side still made me say even (in result). It ended by a hug (initiated by Lessard I would say, but they were both pretty tired).

Sep 23, 2001 Philadelphia Flyers Francis Lessard
2pd 07:53 New York Rangers Richard Scott
They square off for a few seconds and each grab on and try to release one big punch. Lessard's connects, Scott's doesn't. Scott falls and Lessard kind of holds him down as the refs come in. Easy win Lessard.

Sep 22, 2001 New York Rangers Dale Purinton
2pd 12:36 New York Islanders Garth Snow
A couple of minutes earlier Snow checked Eric Lindros hard into the boards while chasing a puck in the corner. While Steve McKenna and Graham Belak squared off, Purinton jumped Snow. He was punching him to the ice while all other players got tangled up. Blackburn skated down and there was a possible goalie-goalie fight, but when Snow got free from Purinton and looked interested, Blackburn (wisely) skated away (or hid behind the ref - depends how nice you want to be about it). Other Penalties: Blackburn and Snow both received leaving the crease; P.J. Stock a roughing and misconduct; Purinton a game misconduct; Kenny Jonsson and Ken Sutton both received roughings. Garth Snow did not receive a fighting major.
