As we spoke about last week, it was a rookie against veteran matchup when Kyle Clifford tried his hand against Shawn Thornton. It was also a very good fight.

Thornton is a great fighter. Jack Edwards is a horrible play by play guy though. Know how many times I yell at my tv telling this jackass to shut it? Lots.

Posted by The Truth on 2011-02-01 20:23:35 Very well said Christian 1000 percent agrre with ya..Shawn is in my opion in the top 3 heavyweights in the NHL..He is so good at sliding his right arm inside the clutch the popping the grip then he starts throwing jack hammers lol..preaty to watch....Atta Boy Shawn we love in our home town OSHAWA....
Posted by Shannon Campbell on 2011-02-01 14:38:04 Shawn Thornton is a very tough man to beat. He will without a doubt school any up and coming fighter trying to make a name for himself. He's beaten the biggest and baddest in the NHL and AHL. He's a fist flying gun, who can skate very well and contribute 10+ points in a given season which from a fighter stand point you really could ask for anything better aside from contributing points the way The Legend did. Thornton is also still in his prime and has some good seasons left to showcase his talent.
