While I never planned on picking something other than an NHL fight for the Fight of the Week, I have little choice but to highlight this scrap between Jon Mirasty and Jeremy Yablonski. From a game last weekend between the AHL‘s Syracuse Crunch and Binghamton Senators, it has the potential to be the cross-league fight of the year, and will probably be on the highlight reels for years to come. The fight page features two videos: same footage, but different audio (each team’s radio broadcast).

They should both learn to hit. Lots of small hits thrown but no effect to anyone. Sort of boring.

Posted by Alex on 2008-12-25 19:19:57 Nice fight good entertainment but I have must add it would be better if they focused more on getting in accurate hits rather than just fast ones a lot of them seem to hit but do nothing. Still a good watch though

Posted by boldbilly on 2008-12-25 16:06:00 Thanks David! Its great to see two of the toughest guys in any Pro Hockey League(including the NHL) be rewarded on the front page of this site. Now if only NHL GM`s would take notice and realize what these two players could offer to their respective clubs if given the opportunity. No question they would become instant fan favorites and will see their attendances numbers increase along with merchandise sales. Oh, and these guys can play the game a little too. I`ve definitely seen worse skaters/players in the NHL over the years.
